Pursuing Excellence
Since 2017, many pilot cadets have sought my guidance to prepare for airline selection processes. Almost every one of them asked during our sessions how to perfect the timing of their peak performance. By the end of our first meeting, each cadet understood that every flight sector they fly demands their absolute best effort, as they can never predict which flight will require them to truly showcase their professionalism. While many pilots may never experience a real PAN PAN or MAYDAY, even after 10,000 hours in the cockpit, those who do never know exactly when it will occur.
This is why every flight demands complete focus, full rest (my apologies to the pilots of low-budget airlines, as I know rest can be a major challenge there), a professional attitude, and expert knowledge. I often put cadets into situational exercises, simulated HR interviews, and assessed whether there were any topics that could throw them off balance. These were excellent tools, but the closest we came to full comprehension was in the simulators. It was there that their true performance emerged, and through analysing it, we identified what was still missing to ensure they could be the best version of themselves on every single flight. AeroMind will be an outstanding solution for detection.
